• How far in advance should I book?

    We recommend submitting your request at least 3 to 6 weeks in advance, especially for tiered or highly detailed designs. Dates fill quickly, and while your requested date will be earmarked, your spot is only fully secured after the consultation is finished and deposit is paid.

  • How do I place an order?

    Start by submitting a Date Request form on our website. Once availability is confirmed, we’ll schedule consultation to finalize your design, size, and pricing. Please note: your order and event date are not reserved until deposit is received.

  • Do you accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions?

    At this time, we are not an allergen-free kitchen and cannot guarantee cross-contamination prevention. Please express any and all concerns during your consultation.

  • What happens if I'm late for pickup or delivery?

    Please arrive on time for your scheduled pickup. Delays beyond a 15-minute grace period will incur a $50 late fee.
    For deliveries, someone must be present during the agreed delivery window. If no one is available within the grace period, your order will be returned to Velvet Luxe, and you will be responsible for pickup.
    Please note: If a delivery is missed, the cake cost and delivery fee are nonrefundable, and the $50 late fee will also apply.

  • Do you offer tastings?

    Please reach out to us to see if tastings are available.

    If the tasting is requested for a wedding, please mention that in your inquiry.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Cancellations must be made at least 14 days in advance. All deposits are nonrefundable but may be transferred to a future date, pending availability. Deposit transfers are a one-time courtesy and must be used within 6 months of the original cancellation.
    If you cancel within 14 days of your event, your deposit is forfeit and nontransferable.

  • Do you make Gender Reveal or Smash Cakes?

    Yes! We’re happy to create Gender Reveal cakes or small “Smash Cakes” for any order. Ask about Smash Cake bundle pricing when booking.

  • How should I store my cake before the event?

    A Cake Care instruction card will be provided at pickup or upon delivery. Storage timelines will depend on your cake’s design and fillings. In general, cakes can be refrigerated for 2-3 days before your event or frozen for up to 2 weeks without compromising quality. Leftover cake can be stored in the fridge in an airtight container for 3-5 days.
    For best texture, flavor, and presentation, we recommend bringing your cake to room temperature 1-2 hours before serving. Do not leave cake in direct sunlight or in overly hot conditions.

  • Can I customize the flavor?

    Yes! We offer a curated menu of flavors and frostings you can mix and match. Custom flavor requests outside of our provided menu are not guaranteed, but certain requests may be possible depending on ingredients and preparation time. We can discuss your preferences during your consultation and do our best to accommodate your vision!

  • Do you offer delivery?

    Yes, delivery is available within a 20-mile radius of Velvet Luxe for an additional fee. Rates vary based on your location, total mileage to and from, and any setup requirements.

  • What if I don't know what I want yet?

    No problem, that’s what the consultation is for! We’ll walk through your event, your personal style, and inspiration you love. You don’t need a clear vision yet, just reach out to us and trust the process.

  • Do you make cupcakes or smaller treats?

    During your consultation, please feel free to ask if cupcakes and small treats are available to order with your custom cake.
